Defining artistic scenario workshops – the IMAGINING Project

Our partners at CREDA have officially launched the activities of Work Package 6 within the “Imagining the Climate-Just Future” project, developed under the Citizens’ Engagement and Participation CERV call with Fundacio OXFAM Intermon as coordinator, an initiative that drew inspiration from our SENSE. project.
Together with the project partners, they have already defined the framework and identified the activities that will be tested in four artistic scenario planning workshops across Italy, Spain, Belgium, and Romania in 2025.
These workshops will engage young people aged 12 to 30 in creative future planning, fostering transdisciplinary collaborations and artistic approaches to drive cultural change and reach broader audiences.

CREDA, as coordinator of this action, has shared insights from the SENSE. project. In particular, they have proposed the social creativity toolkit and the space toolkit from SENSE. as foundational resources to develop the general framework.
These workshops aim to envision and take action toward a climate-just society within participants specific contexts. Through inclusive debates and engagement, they will particularly involve young people and those who are not yet active in climate action, promoting participatory policymaking and exploring how activism can drive urban transformation and cultural change.
The insights and resources developed in the SENSE. project have played a key role in this initiative. By leveraging creative approaches to scientific learning and engagement, the project aims to foster deeper reflections on climate justice and inspire collective action. The impact of SENSE continues to resonate, providing valuable tools and perspectives for enhancing the ability to connect with young people and support their visions for a sustainable and just future.
