Reflecting Together: SENSE. Partners Reconnect in Brussels

On July 3rd, the SENSE.STEAM consortium gathered in Brussels for a meaningful retro meeting that followed the successful final event of the STEAM Atlas. This in-person gathering provided the perfect moment to pause, reconnect, and reflect on a dynamic three-year journey that has brought together diverse partners across Europe with a shared vision for innovative STEAM education.
The meeting created space for honest reflection and open exchange. Partners revisited the full arc of the project, celebrating achievements, acknowledging challenges, and sharing insights gained along the way. The atmosphere was shaped by mutual respect, active listening, and trust. Through thoughtful dialogue and light sensory practices, we explored not just the practical results of our work, but also the emotional depth and human connection that have driven this collaboration from the very beginning.
Throughout the discussion, collaboration emerged as a central theme. Whether co-designing methodologies, aligning actions across multiple countries, or delivering local activities, the project has thrived on collective energy and shared responsibility. These lessons will inform future efforts and reaffirm the importance of building strong, trust-based relationships in any partnership.
As we approach the end of the project, the Brussels meeting also helped clarify next steps. Partners are now focused on finalizing deliverables and ensuring thorough reporting to close the project with care and clarity. We also carry with us a shared sense of purpose, stronger partnerships, and a renewed commitment to shaping inclusive, creative, and impactful STEAM learning experiences. The energy and insight from Brussels will continue to inspire our work long after the project closes.
