The concept affords everybody no matter the gender (girls and boys, women and men, other…) equal enjoyment of human rights, equal resources, and equal opportunities for economic, social, cultural, and political development.
Gender equality is the state in which access to rights, resources, opportunities or responsibilitieies is unaffected by gender.
